The Tech23 2009 and 2010 companies have gone from strength to strength since being a part of Tech23. Some of the highlights are below.

» BuildingIQ, the winner of the 2010 Innovation Pathways Greatest Potential Award of $25,000 cash, has gone on to receive a number of industry awards, including ED+C and Sustainable Facility's Readers' Choice Award, Red Herring's Asia 100 Award, and the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating's (AIRAH) Award for Excellence in Innovation.

» In March 2011, BiNu reached 1 million unique users within 6 months of launching their service and have a current growth rate of 40% per month.

» BigTinCan has added another 1,000,000 users since January 2010 and have also been involved in a number of large projects including being selected by the Wool Industry to help them with their global use of smartphone apps.

» Ceebron was the winner of the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) 2010 Australian Supply Chain and Logistics Award.

» DDX won the Adobe Solution Partner award (awarded bi-annually for APAC region) for its GLU Platform.

» Expanz has received funding from Roger Allen, who is also now a board member, as well as angel funding from Greenlane Digital. They have received global recognition by Gartner and will power the application being built by Logica that will decide the 2011 state elections in NSW.

» HEARD signed a seven figure deal with Meat and Livestock Australia, and raised another $2 million in venture and angel funding.

» Hive Systems have recently been invited to be a Google Apps partner exhibitor to showcase AffinityLive, a web-based client and service tracking package, at GoogleIO in San Francisco.

» IPScape found a chairman at Tech23 2009 and has continued its rapid business growth. IPScape was also recognised in the 2010 BRW Fast Starters list. They won the NSW Government Patrons' Rising Star Award in November 2010 and in March 2011 they were awarded a Commercialisation Australia grant of $825k.

» Last year's winner of the Innovation Excellence Award of $50,000 cash, Marathon Robotics, was awarded a US$50 million contract by the United States Marine Corps to develop the first-ever smart targets in the U.S. Military. They have also secured a Commercialisation Australia grant of $450k .Their Tech23 prize money was instrumental in helping the company establish a development and testing facility.

» MyZerr launched its 'Nearby Coupons' iPhone app in March 2010 and is continually working on self-servicetools and options for businesses and loyalty groups.

» Neural Diagnostics was awarded the ABC's New Inventor's Innovation of 2010 for their EVestG depression / bipolar early warning system.

» PhotoArtGallery has enjoyed great interest in its B2B SaaS Photo Competitions and Promotions Platform, and the company has been engaged by Fuji Imaging and Harvey Norman to provide customised platforms for their requirements.

» After finding a lead investor at Tech23 2009, Posse attracted a stellar line-up of investors to the business, including industry leaders from Sydney Angels, Artesian Capital, and EMI Music (UK). Posse has kicked off the next phase of their business: moving into new premises in Surry Hills and transitioning to their own internal development team.

» Saber Astronautics Australia has teamed up with 4-Pines Brewing Company to create the world's first beer that can be consumed in space.

» We Are Hunted has been the recipient of a number of awards including TNW Australia's Best New Startup, Best Web Startup, Winner of the Plain cool category, and AIMIA's award for Best Entertainment. We Are Hunted recently released the Fashion Feed with Condé Nast, a version of the site for the Mexican market, created an API service for Vodafone Australia, which they're using to power iPhone apps, and another which will power various news analytics modules inside The Australian.
